Welcome to RSCDS Montréal

Discover the joy of Scottish Country Dancing in the heart of Montréal! We are a friendly, inclusive community of dancers of all levels — from curious beginners to experienced enthusiasts. Our weekly classes are open to all 🏳️‍🌈, and no partner or previous dance experience is needed.

What Is Scottish Country Dancing?

Scottish Country Dancing is a traditional social folk dance from Scotland, and it's alive and thriving in Montreal! Dancers move in patterns with a partner and a small group (called a “set”) to lively folk music. If you want to get an idea of the dancing, check out the video below or on our Youtube page! You don’t need to be Scottish — all are welcome 🌈! Come solo, with a partner, or bring friends — no experience necessary.

All classes are taught in English and led by instructors. You'll be partnered with experienced dancers and guided through the basic steps and formations — you'll be dancing confidently before you know it! For more information, check out our Classes or FAQ page!
